Every material below comes from the manufacturer's specification for that piece. Where the maker hasn't confirmed a detail, we leave it out rather than guess.

Care in short

Padded jackets and vests

Wash rarely, cold and gentle, zips closed, no softener. Dry completely and shake out the fill while it dries. No tumble dryer unless the label allows it.

Fleece and sherpa

Cold wash inside out, away from towels. No softener, no dryer heat. Brush flattened sherpa pile gently when dry.

Shells and softshells

Keep them clean — dirt stops water-resistance working. Cold wash, rinse well, hang dry. Re-proof with a water-repellent treatment when water stops beading.

Knitwear

Air between wears. Hand wash cold or wool cycle, press dry in a towel, dry flat, store folded.

Cotton tees and sweats

Cold wash inside out, hang to dry. Washed and garment-dyed pieces keep fading slowly — every piece varies a little.
